LifeVault — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 24 September 2026

LifeVault ("the app") is a personal organization application for managing subscriptions, bills, insurance information, documents, warranties, receipts, household items, and reminders.

LifeVault is designed with a local-first approach. You do not need to create an account to use the core features, and we do not operate servers that receive or store the personal records you enter into the app.

2. Information You Enter in LifeVault

Information you add to LifeVault may include:

  • subscriptions;
  • bills and payment information;
  • insurance policies;
  • documents;
  • document numbers;
  • warranties;
  • receipts;
  • household items;
  • notes;
  • reminders; and
  • attached files such as photos, scans, and PDFs.

This information is designed to remain on your device unless you explicitly enable a feature that involves another service, such as iCloud Sync.

The developer does not routinely receive, view, or store the personal records and files that you enter into LifeVault.

Local Storage and Security

Your records are stored in an on-device database and protected using security features provided by iOS.

Attached files may additionally be encrypted on your device, with encryption keys protected using Apple's Keychain.

Document numbers and policy numbers are optional. LifeVault does not use these fields for advertising.

3. iCloud Sync

If iCloud Sync is available for your version of LifeVault and you choose to enable it, your LifeVault records may synchronize through your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud services.

The developer does not have direct access to your private iCloud data.

Attached files may be excluded from iCloud synchronization depending on the feature and implementation.

You can disable iCloud Sync through the settings provided within LifeVault.

Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy policies.

4. Advertising

The free version of LifeVault may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Lifetime Premium users do not receive advertisements through LifeVault.

LifeVault does not send the contents of your personal records, documents, notes, or attached files to Google for advertising purposes.

Consent for Advertising

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, LifeVault uses an advertising consent mechanism to obtain and manage the choices required for Google's advertising services.

Google's current requirements provide for consent management for relevant advertising data processing in these regions, including personalized advertising.

You can review or change your available advertising consent choices through:

Settings → Privacy Center → Manage Ad Consent

Depending on your choices and applicable requirements, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized.

Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device/app information, IP address, approximate location, advertising interactions, and diagnostic information for purposes such as advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention, subject to the applicable consent choices and policies.

5. App Tracking Transparency

LifeVault does not request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework unless tracking functionality requiring that permission is introduced.

Apple requires ATT authorization when an app tracks users across apps and websites or accesses the device's advertising identifier for tracking purposes.

If LifeVault's data practices change in a way that requires ATT permission, the app will request the applicable permission and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Purchases

LifeVault offers Lifetime Premium as a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase.

Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit.

The developer does not receive your payment card or other payment credentials used to make an App Store purchase.

LifeVault checks the purchase entitlement through Apple's StoreKit services.

Apple's applicable terms and privacy policies govern App Store purchases.

7. Analytics and Crash Reporting

LifeVault does not currently send personal usage analytics to the developer.

If anonymous analytics functionality is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the applicable data collection and purposes before or when the functionality is introduced, as required by applicable law.

LifeVault does not intend to send the following personal content to analytics services:

  • names;
  • document numbers;
  • policy numbers;
  • notes;
  • document contents;
  • attached files; or
  • receipt/document images.

Crash information may be made available to the developer through Apple's developer and crash-reporting systems where you have enabled the relevant Apple settings.

8. On-Device Features

OCR / Text Recognition

LifeVault may use on-device text recognition to extract text from documents and receipts.

Where the feature is implemented using Apple's on-device capabilities, processing occurs on your device and the recognized content is not uploaded by LifeVault to the developer's servers.

Information is saved to your LifeVault records only when you choose to confirm or save it.

AI Assistant

If the AI Assistant is available, it is designed to use Apple's supported on-device intelligence capabilities where available.

The AI Assistant may process a limited summary of relevant LifeVault information, such as:

  • names;
  • amounts;
  • dates; and
  • categories.

LifeVault is designed not to provide the AI Assistant with:

  • document numbers;
  • policy numbers;
  • private notes; or
  • attached document/image/PDF files.

AI functionality may require a compatible device and supported Apple Intelligence features.

Reminders

LifeVault uses local notifications for reminders that you configure.

Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device and do not require LifeVault to operate a server-based notification system.

9. Device Permissions

LifeVault may request the following permissions when you use the corresponding features:

Camera

Used to scan documents and receipts or photograph household items.

Photos

Used to import photos that you explicitly select.

Face ID / Touch ID

Used only for optional app locking or authentication features.

Biometric information is handled by Apple's operating-system security mechanisms and is not accessible to LifeVault.

Notifications

Used to deliver reminders that you configure.

You can manage these permissions through your device's Settings.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Your LifeVault records remain on your device until you delete them.

You can delete:

  • individual records; or
  • all local LifeVault data through the applicable setting in the app.

If iCloud Sync is enabled, available controls may allow you to manage the corresponding synchronized data.

Deleting LifeVault from your device removes the app's locally stored data, subject to Apple's operating-system behavior and any data that you separately maintain through iCloud or other services.

Premium users may also have access to:

Settings → Export My Data

The availability and format of export functionality may vary by app version.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, or applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

These rights may include, where applicable:

  • access;
  • correction;
  • deletion;
  • restriction of processing;
  • objection;
  • data portability; and
  • withdrawal of consent.

Because much of LifeVault's information is stored directly on your device, you can manage or delete that information directly through the app.

For advertising-related processing performed by Google, you may also manage available consent and privacy choices through the controls provided by Google and within LifeVault.

If you have questions about your privacy rights or LifeVault's processing practices, contact:

zahidraza993@gmail.com

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority applicable to your location.

12. International Data Transfers

Advertising services provided by Google may process information in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States.

The applicable safeguards and processing practices are described in Google's privacy documentation and advertising policies.

Google Privacy Policy

13. Children's Privacy

LifeVault is not directed toward children under 13, or the applicable minimum age in jurisdictions where a different age applies.

We do not knowingly design LifeVault to collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through LifeVault in a manner that requires action, please contact us.

14. Security

LifeVault uses available iOS security mechanisms and application-level protections designed to help protect your information.

Depending on the feature, these may include:

  • iOS Data Protection;
  • encrypted local file storage;
  • Apple Keychain;
  • optional Face ID / Touch ID app lock; and
  • device-level passcode protection.

No electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use a strong device passcode and keep your device's operating system up to date.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when LifeVault's features, services, data practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

When changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page and the Effective Date will be updated.
